Avionics is the science and technology of electronics and the development of electronic devices as applied to aeronautics and astronautics. This includes the aircraft's electronics that help the pilot fly, navigate and land safely. All communication, navigation and surveillance equipment as well as cockpit instrumentation for displaying information to the pilot is included in this category.
