Music Information Centres are open to the public. They generally have a real (not only on-line) library of sheet music, sound archives, biographical material and many issue publications.

• Celtic Music Interpretive Centre of Judique A not for profit organization whose mandate is the collection, preservation, and promotion of the celtic music of Cape Breton Island. Gives archives, a listening/ research centre, programs and special performances.
• Centre for New Zealand Music: SOUNZ Fostering and developing New Zealand music, its creation, performance, publication, recording and broadcast, by working with and on behalf of New Zealand composers.
• Contemporary Music Centre Ireland's national archive and resource center for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland.

• International Association of Music Information Centres A world-wide network of organizations promoting new music, with forty members in thirty-six countries, as of 1999. Each center is responsible for documenting and promoting the music of its own country or region.
