For sites related to published guidebooks covering recorded music of several different formats. Many of these sites used to have the partial or complete contents of their books available on the web, but few have continued to do so. Format-specific guidebooks may be found in the individual format categories.

• Muze Longtime publisher (over 50 years) of directories of recorded music for retail stores; their data is now available for purchase to place on other websites and in-store kiosks.
• Osborne Enterprises and Jellyroll Productions Producer of price guides (in the "Official Price Guide" series) and reference books for music collectibles. General descriptions of each volume.

• Rough Guides Over 30 music guidebook titles; features online versions of their Rock, World, and Classical guides.
